I'm planning on making a repeating crossbow I found on youtube, where you break the stock causing the band to pull back, but the only way I can image to do that is to attach a rope from the stock to the band that shoots the grey connectors out of a vertical top loading magazine xD the video of the original:








My question: is it still a good design if I use rope ?

Well I think the one in the video uses flexible cable so it should work alright, just make sure that you attach the string securely and maybe add a pulley for the string to run over above the handle.

I'm going to start building right now. I will probably post a mech model on design when I finish the most of the gun. Because I am quite sure that I won't be able to make a trigger mech, so I will be needing help for that later, but until that time, wish me luck.

I started building yesterday, I have build on it for like 1 hour now and I'm making some good progress. Like I said, the trigger is hard. I started building at the handle, I got the grip on the stock done, a stock won't be hard, so I save that for the end, I got the handle done, and I'm going to start with the actuall magazine and hopper now. Acexxacer, don't waste time, I'll make it xD
